After attending Virginia Commonwealth University’s pre-med program, the doctor received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the largest Chiropractic school in the world…Life University in sunny Atlanta, Georgia.
In order for Dr. Winston to bring professional quality chiropractic care to this area he had to successfully complete board certification through the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners as well as fulfilled the requirements of licensure as prescribed by the Virginia Board of Medicine. The doctor is also a member of the Virginia Society of Chiropractic and the Virginia Chiropractic Association.
Dr. Winston teaches about health care and does screenings and lectures for groups and clubs around the Richmond area.
Dr. Winston’s Story
At the age of twelve, I began having migraine headaches. They were so terrible that I would have no equilibrium, I would literally fall over. I would wake up with this pain and go to sleep with it day after day. Nights would be miserable, more than once I would wake to find my pillow damp with my tears. The pain was that bad!
A small army of medical specialist would come to know my condition and resolve to tell me that nothing was wrong or lets try this drug and see if it works…the drugs never worked.
Six years of dealing with almost daily migraine headaches lead me something called a Chiropractor. I was not sure even what a Chiropractor was or did. Upon entering the Chiropractor’s office the Chiropractor himself noticed me and asked how he could help me. I told him of the migraines and his reply was quite matter of fact.
